From Bubon Posi, located just across the Aringay River is the Salapac Mountain, which is in Barangay Poblacion. This Area is perfect for people who are the outdoorsy type. Salapac Mountain is famous for its hiking and/or biking routes. The peak will give you 360 view of the surrounding areas of the the town. North Side will let you see the adjacent Mt. Kimmalugong of the neighboring town of Caba; Western Side will give you a great view of the West Philippine Sea and on great weather days, the mountain ranges of western Pangasinan as well as the famous Hundred Islands in Alaminos City, Pangasinan; Southern Side shows you the iconic conical shape of Mount Bubon Posi and the town of Tubao; Eastern side showcases the mountain ranges of Cordillera, particularly Tuba, Sablan and Baguio, you can clearly see the radars on Mount Sto Tomas in Baguio City; you can even see the newly built Manga National Highschool Building from there.
The Peak also offers a wide area that you can set up camp at night. During nighttime, lights from Baguio City illuminates the area where it is located. Come morning, you will be given a breathtaking view of the rising sun and on some occasions especially December to January, a sea of clouds may be present, a mini Mount Pulag so they say. Mount Salapac truly is a sight to see.
