In bagging the National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Awards for 2022, the Municipal Government of Aringay. has proven its commitment to continue the fight against illegal drugs. The awarding ceremony held at the Manila Hotel on December 13, 2022 that honored 22 awardees from Region 1 which garnered a functionality score of 100%.

The Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) Functionality, Drug Clearing, and Reduction of Drug Affectation are the criteria of DILG for the ADAC Performance Award. It included the 2022 BADAC Functionality Audit Results, PDEA National Office Drug-Clearing Data for CY 2022 and the PDEA National Office Drug-Affectation Data for the said calendar year. It made a comparative review of the 2021 Municipal performance.

The National ADAC Performance Award is given to LGUs with high ADAC functionality scores, in recognition of their outstanding efforts in the performance of their duties in reinforcing the national government’s anti-illegal drug campaign. The Municipality of Aringay got a 100% functionality score. Ms. Maria Lucille R. Estacion, Secretary to the Mayor and Miss Krishan Faye Biason MLGOO received the award for the Municipality. The affair was attended by DILG Secretary Atty Benjamin Abalos Jr.

and Guest of Honor and Speaker Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
